Tips for taking a charter fishing trip

All fishing tackle and equipment is provided including bait and life jackets. You will need to bring food and drink and appropriate clothing. Coffee is provided aboard most vessels. Please dress for the weather; wear warm clothing in layers. It is cold in the mornings and you may remove layers as it gets warmer during the day. A stocking hat or scarf to block the wind is also recommended.

All charter boats have restrooms and cabins but when you are fishing you will want to be out on the decks to catch all the action. Bring warm clothing and boots, as the mornings are cool.  You will also need to buy a one-day fishing license salmon / halibut tag prior to your trip (available at charter office) $16.75.

To help avoid sea sickness always get a good nights sleep the night before your trip. Eating a light breakfast will also help. If you are prone to sea sickness you may want to take a Dramamine tablet the day before your trip. In order for Dramamine to work properly you must take it the day prior to your trip.
